At the Sportarena Visp
Tennis has a long tradition in Visp. In 2018, TC Visp celebrated its 90th anniversary. Founded in 1928 by employees of Lonza AG, the club can look back on many sporting successes. In the mid-1990s, the men's team was promoted to the National League A, and a few years later the young women's team achieved the same feat. Several players who later went on to play in the ATP (Ylena In-Albon, Christoph Meyer, Jan Huhnholz) also started their careers at TC Visp.
The TC Visp currently has 140 members, including around 40 juniors, making it an important part of the sporting scene in Visp.
In addition to promoting competitive tennis in close cooperation with the Valais squad, TC Visp attaches great importance to tennis as a popular sport. The focus here is on enjoying the game and getting exercise. This is encouraged with special offers for all age groups and performance levels.
